Experimental on the Effect of Corrugated Absorber Degree on Water Desalination Productivity Using Solar Still

Water is an essential needs for humanity needs. Due to increasing in human population, the water consumption also increasing. Hence, there should be a sustainability technology in order to keep the availability of water. Desalination uses sun radiation to heat up water. As the result, minerals from the bulk water will be separated and the pure water will collected. Adding corrugated absorber to the solar still will increase the productivity. Through this study, authors will experiment three variation of degree of corrugated absorber, which are: 40°, 60°, and 80°, on 5.4 kg of bulk water. The result shows that 80° produce the highest distilled water, which is 988 ml, whilst the 40° produce 853 ml and for 60° corrugated absorber produce 950 ml.
