Preliminary Study Between Conventional Single Slope Solar Still and Hollow Glass Solar Still
摘要
Generally, the moist condensed water in solar is still driven by the effect of natural convection. Therefore, solar still parameter design has become the most influential factor. The present study has investigated the comparison model between single-slope and hollow glass solar stills. This comparison model is evaluated using ANSYS Fluent. Both factors, temperature contour and streamline, were evaluated using the same operational conditions. The result shows that both factors have differences in the plot. The HGSS has a higher internal temperature and organized distribution in temperature contour. This phenomenon causes streamline around the chamber so it can be indicates that with this present HGSS have high possibility to distribute the generated moist air to solar still chamber.
