Load Frequency Control Strategy in Power System Based on Dragonfly Algorithm
摘要
Load Frequency Control is crucial for ensuring the stability of power quality within the electric power system. Any fluctuations in load can lead to frequency instability, which in turn affects the overall power output of the system, ultimately impacting its performance. On the other hand, speed in returning the frequency signal to steady-state conditions is needed to maintain power quality in the system. This paper aims to maintain system frequency stability by using a PID controller that is optimized using the Dragonfly Algorithm. The Dragonfly Algorithm method chosen in tuning the PID controller to overcome this problem caused by this algorithm can reach a steady state. The frequency controlled using the PID controller-Dragonfly Algorithm can reach a steady state at a base frequency of 50 Hz in 2.1 s and is 65% faster than conventional PID controllers. Hence, the highest undershoot produced by DA-PID was 0.02% of the basic frequency.
