Global industrial and supply chains are important vehicles for international division of labor, economic cooperation and common development. In recent years, they have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, geopolitical conflicts and protectionism. Over-securitizing them also poses challenges to global economic growth, climate governance and the industrialization of developing countries. There is an urgent need to strengthen international cooperation for building open, inclusive, efficient and stable global industrial and supply chains and promote global development.
