A Taihang Mountain Village's Road to Tourism and Cultural Prosperity: Practice of Poverty Eradication in Luotuowan Village, Fuping, Hebei

This paper examines the path of poverty alleviation in a deep mountain village in the Yanshan-Taihang Mountains under the jurisdiction of Fuping County, Hebei Province. Through observation of the process of poverty alleviation in Luotuowan Village from 2017 to 2020, the author finds that the prosperity experience of Luotuowan Village is to turn its disadvantaged environment into an advantageous tourism resources, thus injecting vitality into this dying mountain village and forming a prosperity pattern with the synergy of tourism culture and other industries. The big change in Luotuowan Village has explored a new model based on the synergy of development-oriented and targeted poverty alleviation. The paper also considers how to increase the participation of young migrant workers returning to their hometowns and the relative poverty in the future.
