As a poverty-stricken village in an economically developed area, Wangma Village seems to be more like a relative poverty village from an overall perspective, and the definition standard of poverty line is higher than the national level, so the model of poverty reduction also has certain characteristics. Based on the analysis of the features and causes of poverty in Wangma Village, this paper analyzes the poverty reduction model of Wangma Village. Through investigation and analysis, the poverty reduction model of Wangma Village can be concisely summarized into the model of “industry + welfare + collective transfer payment”, which provides income opportunities for poverty-stricken households through employment driven by industrial development. At the same time, industrial development promotes the growth of collective income and enhances the ability to use collective income to make transfer payments to poverty-stricken households, which becomes one of the important ways for those households to get out of poverty. The welfare model, on the other hand, consists of the policy guarantee and transfer payments provided by the government at all levels and society, which is also an important support for most poverty-stricken households to get out of poverty. Based on this model, the specific policies implemented in Wangma Village are introduced, and the effects of these policies are illustrated with corresponding case studies. At the end of this study, the future development of the “industry + welfare + collective transfer payment” model of poverty reduction in Wangma Village is presented.
