Management of Sjögren’s Syndrome
摘要
Sjögren’s syndrome is a chronic autoimmune condition which usually presents to rheumatologists and less commonly to dermatologists. Still, a dermatologist should be aware of the investigations and treatment strategies for the disease. Apart from investigating for antinuclear antibodies, the patients need a detailed ophthalmic and salivary gland evaluation for reduced secretions. A multidisciplinary approach is warranted and includes lifestyle modifications, symptomatic relief of sicca symptoms, and systemic therapy tailored to organ involvement. This chapter discusses the management of Sjögren’s syndrome including the investigations and pharmacotherapy by an experienced rheumatologist.
