Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic autoimmune condition characterized by myriad clinical manifestations and an unpredictable disease course, which demands multidisciplinary treatment approach. Management strategies include lifestyle modifications, topical and systemic therapies, and biologics. General measures such as photoprotection, exercise, smoking cessation, and vaccinations are important in disease control and flare prevention. Treatment strategies now follow a treat-to-target approach, aiming for disease remission while minimizing treatment-related toxicity. This chapter summarizes current therapeutic options in SLE, integrating conventional and emerging therapies.
