The cultivation of white flowers, such as jasmine and tuberose, holds significant economic, cultural, and ecological value, particularly in regions like Tamil Nadu, India, where favorable climatic conditions and traditional practices prevail. This chapter explores the integration of climate-resilient practices in white flower agroecosystems to address challenges posed by climate change, such as temperature variations, irregular rainfall, and pest dynamics. Key strategies include introducing native tree species to enhance biodiversity and stabilize microclimates, adopting integrated weed management practices, and implementing multiple cropping systems for improved sustainability and economic resilience. The study covered 400 farms across ten villages in Dindigul District, implementing sustainable practices for white flower cultivation. Field studies revealed the successful establishment of diverse native tree species, the adoption of intercropping practices, and the effective use of organic inputs, including enriched compost and microbial products. Additionally, sustainable weed management and border cropping strategies significantly improved soil health and reduced reliance on chemical inputs. By diversifying agricultural practices and leveraging the medicinal and ecological potential of native plants, this approach fosters a resilient and adaptive white flower agroecosystem. The adoption of microbial products increased by 68.8%, while chemical pesticide usage significantly declined, reducing dependency on synthetic inputs. The findings underscore the importance of sustainable agriculture in mitigating the impacts of climate change while enhancing rural livelihoods.
