Water is an essential component of life, which should be available in sufficient amounts both qualitatively and quantitatively to meet the demands of the end user. Every purpose needs different amounts and quality of water. The quality standards need defined by the agencies need to be strictly followed for their respective purposes. Anthropogenic and natural sources affect the water quality. Industrial outputs such as effluents play a crucial role in affecting the quality of soil and water. The water suitability for irrigation is defined by the indices such as SAR, MH, RSC, %Na, PI, and KR. Following this, it is essential to know the corrosion potential of water before using the groundwater for industrial purpose. Several indices like CR, RSI, PSI, and L-S Index were calculated through the AquaChem software to identify corrosion potential. To identify the possible sources of contaminants, statistical methods were adopted. Correlation matrix, cluster analysis (CA), and principal component analysis (PCA) were performed to determine the water quality harming parameters. Water quality is mostly affected in a region where industries are functional. Groundwater is good for agriculture use except for a few samples. Very few groundwater samples showcase the high corrosion potential, whereas the rest show their fitness for industrial applications.
