This study uses critical discourse analysis (CDA) to describe and interpret the discursive structures in the English and Persian translations of the Qur’an. The study aims to identify discursive structures using the CDA approach and assess macrostructures in the translation process. The study proposes a unit of Qur’anic translation based on the CDA approach. Results show that macrostructures influence the translation process and product, and the selection of linguistic equivalents is ideologically influenced during the transfer process. Based on the analysis, discursive structures are identified as the unit of Qur’anic translation using the CDA approach.

摘要
