Generative AI Influence on Student Learning Outcomes: The Context of Lebanese University Students
摘要
Generative artificial intelligence (GenAI), a subfield of artificial intelligence, can produce new media from the ground up, encompassing many forms such as text, photos, videos, audio, and even synthetic data. This study aims to examine the impact of GenAI on students’ Learning outcomes. A descriptive-analytical methodology is adopted. The system employs two primary variables: generative artificial intelligence as the independent variable and student learning outcomes as the dependent variable. The authors examine five dimensions of student learning outcomes: analytical and critical thinking, scientific brainstorming, academic writing proficiency, development of generic competence, customized learning skills, and scientific brainstorming. The authors opted for a convenience sample of students from private colleges in Lebanon to partake in a survey consisting of 37 questions. After collecting the data, the authors used SPSS for data analysis. The research demonstrated that the use of GenAI enhanced academic writing, facilitated scientific brainstorming, fostered competency growth, and supported tailored learning.
