Digital transformation is important in revolutionizing various industries, particularly in the health sector. The Indonesian government initiated a digital health transformation policy in 2024 by accelerating digital transformation for health service providers, especially hospitals. This research aims to assess hospital’s preparedness in terms of policy and organizational culture amid digital transformation. There were 13 hospitals in the province of South Sulawesi that were involved in this research. The hospital information system policy data is carried out with a desk study and measures the manager’s perception of hospital digitalization readiness by filling in a questionnaire using the KoboToolbox. The research sample on digitalization perception measurement was 339 managers. The results showed that 96% of respondents said their hospital was ready for digital transformation. Some of the obstacles encountered in digital transformation are the lack of interest in hospitals to invest in digitalization, infrastructure that is not compatible with digital transformation demands, regulations or rules that often change, and organizational culture and governance that are still traditional. Hospitals should redesign operational procedures and conduct information technology training for all staff to accelerate digital transformation.
