This study investigates strategies to optimize knowledge retention and operational performance among Brazil’s Riachuelo-Class Submarines (RCS) crews during the France-Brazil technology transfer under PROSUB. Using a Grounded Theory approach, we analyzed semi-structured interviews with submariners and instructors, complemented by anthropotechnological frameworks, to evaluate how all training instances mitigate skill gaps, enhance adaptive capacity in high-complexity naval environments, and ensure effective technology transfer. Results identified four key categories: (1) Cross-Cultural Communication Barriers impacting knowledge transmission, (2) Technical Capability Building via immersive simulations, (3) Organizational Adaptation to new roles and technologies, and (4) Technological Trust in Computer-Based Training (CBT) systems. Findings underscore CBT’s critical role in maintaining crew readiness amid evolving technological and operational demands.
