This research encompasses an interface pattern analysis of urban mobility platforms from 20 smart cities stated in the Smart City Index 2023. The study identifies main features in mobility apps, exploring how interfaces aim to promote a seamless experience in commuting for citizens and cities. This article aims to present an overview of the current scenario of urban mobility platforms and how they can be designed towards MaaS, considering both services and user experiences. The methodology involves mapping cities using the Smart City Index 2023, urban mobility applications, and analyzing the usability of selected apps. The findings provide a visual repertoire of mobility platform interfaces, from which most follow the same interaction model, with some variations. A discussion on similarities and differences of the user experiences of various urban mobility platforms is also stated, as well as a synthesis of various platforms’ features and their main characteristics. Finally, the research allows the suggestion of parameters for building MaaS platforms centered on citizens’ usage of public transportation and multimodal travel experiences.

摘要
