Integrating Cognitive Ergonomics and UI Enhancements for Efficient Appointments and Elevated Patient Satisfaction in Metro Manila Hospitals

This research discusses the scarcity of medical professional and medical facilities, and the importance of utilizing and enhancing telemedicine application in seeking healthcare services for outpatients in Metro Manila. 385 outpatients 18- to 75- years old participated in this study where they expressed low satisfaction in waiting periods and technical difficulties in using the appointment system in existing telemedicine applications. The results highlight the potential advantages of including improved user interfaces and cognitive ergonomics in telemedicine systems. These apps can greatly lower cognitive burden, expedite the scheduling process, and improve patient satisfaction by becoming more intuitive and user-friendly. The study comes to the conclusion that these enhancements can give outpatients more effective access to medical treatments, improving healthcare outcomes in Metro Manila.
