Competencies and Technological Support for Remote Operator of Automated Vehicles: A Literature Review and Perspectives
摘要
Automated vehicles at SAE Level 4 and 5 no longer demand an on-board driver, but may require the assistance of remote operators in certain situations. Consequently, it is imperative to examine the qualifications and competencies of remote operators to ensure effective performance. Based on a comprehensive literature review, this paper compares the conventional driving task with the tasks of re-mote operators and identifies relevant qualifications and competencies. Further-more, this paper identifies potential for technological support to assist the remote operator in the perception and assessment of information, as well as in the execution of actions. Since the results are solely derived from a literature analysis, they require further evaluation through subject tests.
