Drawing upon the close historical and geographical ties, as well as the cultural and historical contextual similarities between Vietnam and Cambodia in the early decades of the twentieth century, and utilizing Vietnamese and Cambodian literary practices through translated works and studies on Cambodian literature, this research juxtaposes Vietnamese and Cambodian literature in the context of early twentieth-century literary modernization for comparative analysis. This approach aims toidentify the regularities inherent in each literary tradition and the points of intersection between these regional literatures.
