Revolutionizing Healthcare Logistics: Elevating Drug Accountability Through GIS-Enabled Tracing
摘要
Traditional methods for tracking pharmaceuticals are unreliable, leaving the door open for counterfeits and theft. GIS and blockchain offer a powerful solution. In this paper, we aim to leverage the Ethereum blockchain and smart contracts to enhance traceability and transparency in the pharmaceutical supply chain, addressing counterfeit drugs. By registering stakeholders and providing verification, ownership transfers are immutably recorded on the blockchain. Integrating Geographic Information System (GIS) technology further enhances spatial data analysis, aiding data capture, storage, and decision-making. This approach reduces human intervention, ensures stakeholder accountability, and fosters trust, ultimately ensuring consumers receive authentic medicines.
