The design of aging-friendly communities relies on the collection and analysis of ergonomics data among the elderly. This study analyzes the characteristics and problems of measuring elderly ergonomics data in different communities in Guangzhou, China. From the perspective of service design, it analyses pain points encountered during these measurements, and discusses the needs and expectations of the stakeholders involved in the activities. Focusing on optimizing user experience, the study proposes service strategies in terms of stakeholders, measurement items, measurement processes, and incentives. It also constructs a generalized process for gathering ergonomics data from the elderly in the urban community, serving as a valuable resource for conducting participatory scientific research with the elderly in the urban community and the design of ageing in place.
