Studying on Current and Speed Characteristics of LSPMSM of 15 kW, 2-poles Under Remanence Reduction of Permanent Magnets
摘要
Line-start permanent magnet synchronous motors with high efficiency and power factor is a partial replacement solution for squirrel cage induction motors. In terms of construction, this motor utilizes permanent magnets, which are either surface-mounted or embedded within the rotor core. During operation, improper design or selection of magnets can result in demagnetization of the permanent magnets. This can lead to the remanence reduction of the permanent magnets. However, assessing the remanence reduction of magnets is relatively complex. Therefore, this paper investigates several manifestations of remanence reduction in the line-starting permanent magnet synchronous motor indirectly through current and speed characteristics. Based on the research findings, an evaluation scheme for remanence reduction of permanent magnets during motor operation can be established. The paper employs a modified test motor from an existing squirrel cage induction motor for experimental purposes.
