The minerals and natural resources are important for mankind. Mining is one such approach in which humans can extract these from the earth. For any country, mining is one such activity that is crucial for the development of any country. There have been several reports of threats to human life involved in such activities. Particularly, the conditions under which these people work are very pathetic and have been attributed to most deaths. Mining involves work that requires lots of safety and precautionary measures to be taken. Miners who work in these mines are provided with little or no safety while working in such conditions. Usually, they are provided with a traditional helmet for their safety which is not sufficient to reduce the risks involved. Hence, it becomes important for us to pay attention to such situations and take an action. The solution to this problem can be solved using IoT-based solution, smart safety helmet that can help provide safety to these miners.
