AI and ML Techniques for 5G and Next-Generation Wireless Applications

Wireless communication's fifth generation (5G) and the future wireless technology paradigms are introducing to achieve the goal of ubiquitous connection. It proposes a wide range of technical solutions, including uninterruptible connectivity, large bandwidth, utilization of underutilized frequency bands for wireless communication, large data rate, low latency, and massive connectivity. 5G criteria and technological ambitions have gotten a lot of interest from researchers all around the world. Artificial intelligence (AI) techniques are required for a 5G network to be fully operational and efficient. On the other hand, machine learning (ML) is a promising technology that can be used in data processing. ML algorithms are based on historical data, individual performance metrics, and projections, all of which impact the area of interest. We outline the role of AI and ML in 5G wireless communications in this article, as well as throwing fresh light on future research prospects for exploiting AI and ML in 5G wireless communications.
