Impact of Nano Fillers in Moisture Absorption of Nano Bio Polymer Composites
摘要
The involvement of bio fibers as a composite material in various application fields is extremely appreciable compared to synthetic fibers. It provides a valuable approach toward environmental assurance, effective ecological control, efficient biodegradability, and sustainability in a fresh climate. Ample availability and low manufacturing cost make it also more attractive. The intrinsic hollow cellulosic structure of bio fibers is more appreciable which improves the stiffness, strength, toughness, elongation, and energy absorption behavior; however, the hydrophilic nature curtails the interfacial bonding. The improvement in bonding is obtained by introducing specific organic or inorganic nanofillers. The superior aspect ratio, extensive superficial area, exceptional functional property, and light weight of nanofillers are principally attractive to be reinforced in composites in distinct field applications. The hydrophilic and swelling defect is constrained in nanocomposites due to its particle size, specific density, surface area, specific amount, and uniform dispersion of nanoparticles. This article mostly deliberated to explore the impact of discrete nanofillers on prohibiting moisture absorption behavior in bio-polymer composites. Organic nanoparticles purify the climate comparatively less than inorganic nanoparticles. The current review briefly discusses the magnificent performance of nanofillers in prohibiting moisture absorption in biopolymer composites.
