Conversing with Mia Yu (于渺) about “Fossil Energy—Sedimentary Bodies” and Curating, Sensing, and Healing on China’s Energy Frontier

 The conversation with Mia Yu explores her understanding of curating exhibitions with a situated approach with a particular view to her long-term project on ecological degradation and post-caarbon futures in the former Rust Belt of the People's Republic of China. She explains her motivation for exploring the Northern frontier zone around the mining city of Fushun in mainland China in her exhibition Fossil Energy—Sedimentary Bodies, shown at the Goethe Institute Beijing in 2024.
