The Internationalization of Glory Politics and the Reconstruction of Civilizational Order
摘要
Chapter 13 synthesizes the preceding cases into a vision of an emerging global “glory order.” It argues that memory politics now shapes geopolitical alignments and norm contests across international institutions. The chapter explores memory diplomacy, cross-border commemorations, and historical vetoes. It shows how the glory trap scales up from domestic politics to global narrative competition. This analysis opens the door for rethinking the role of memory in international relations.
