Advancing the Digital Economy Under the Digital Silk Road: Legal Perspectives and International Frameworks
摘要
This chapter explores the digital transformation of the economy and society under the BRI, such as a higher level of efficiency in trade relations, the role of medium and small enterprises in cross-border trade, financial inclusion, and the provision of better services to the population. It also highlights the current issues like the digital divide, disparities in technological abilities, and disparities in the digital preparedness of the participating states. The discussion takes into account the engagement of the domestic legal systems and international legal frameworks that affect the digital trade and governance. The chapter also discusses the significance of legal coordination and legal alignment of policies in enabling trust, interoperability, and sustainable development of digital within the BRI framework. The findings of this chapter reveal that consistent implementation of regulations, global collaboration, and the building of capacity are necessary to facilitate safe and inclusive digital economic practices within BRI countries.
