Geological Storage and Migration Monitoring Technologies for Carbon Dioxide

CO2 storage is a dynamic process, involving the continuous injection of CO2 into geological formations over a certain period. However, the migration and dispersion behaviour of CO2 underground remains uncertain. At present, time-lapse seismic monitoring is the primary method used to monitor the extent of CO2 migration.
