Numerical Simulation Techniques for Carbon Dioxide Geological Storage

Numerical simulation technology not only enables quantitative prediction of storage effectiveness and resource development efficiency, but also facilitates the early identification of engineering risks and the optimisation of technical parameters. This provides robust technical support for the design of CO2 geological storage engineering schemes, effectiveness verification, and decision-making processes. This section introduces the corresponding numerical simulation methods for CO2-enhanced oil recovery (CO2-EOR), CO2-enhanced coalbed methane recovery (CO2-ECBM), and saline aquifer storage.
