The purpose of this research is to examine the changing functions and important significance of japamala, or rosary beads, in Hinduism. It focuses on the Tulsi Japamala beads created at Amity University Dubai, highlighting their significance as precious spiritual treasures and examining how they evolved from being revered artifacts to trendy decorations. This study combines engineering and design perspectives through a multidisciplinary approach that includes project analysis, interviews, and qualitative research. The intricate production method, historical context, and cultural significance of Tulsi Japamala beads are examined. The study shows how Tulsi Japamala beads transformed from holy artifacts to modern symbols of spirituality and creativity. It makes clear Amity University Dubai’s complex creation process and skillful fusion of innovation and tradition. These beads support mantra chanting and prayer as they symbolize a vital link to heritage and elegance. This study offers fresh insights into the intersection of tradition and innovation in the context of religious objects of worship by examining the usage of Tulsi Japamala beads as a bridge between traditional spirituality and contemporary design. The study provides knowledge to manufacturers, designers, and artisans on the creation and cultural significance of Tulsi Japamala beads, which may provide inspiration for the creation of genuine sacred objects. This study encourages a greater understanding of the spiritual and cultural value of japamala beads and highlights the need of preserving and interpreting religious traditions in modern culture. The Amity University tulsi Japamala beads pay tribute to contemporary spiritual practices and the smooth blending of tradition and innovation via the application of both old wisdom and revolutionary craftsmanship.
