摘要

Soil quality refers to the overall health and suitability of plant growth and functioning of other ecosystem properly like all the animal’s growth, improvement of human health and sustainability of environment. Chemical compounds from agrochemicals, industries waste and pharmaceutical are causing serious threat to ecosystem and human health as a whole. Emergence of these contaminants from various sources have increased the pollution leads to reduction of microbial diversity of soil which influenced soil health. In this context, continuous assessment of soil is necessary for evaluating soil quality transitions for detecting and mitigating pollution. Any minimal disturbance coming from contaminants in the soil cause changes in the physical, chemical, and biological variables. These variables may serve as symbols when evaluating the quality of the soil. A thorough physicochemical and biological analysis helps in evaluating soil quality and making quality decision about aspects of soil conditions, applications, and protection.
