Methodology

This chapter presents the methodological framework of the study. It begins by describing the participants involved in this 2-year longitudinal investigation and then outlines the instruments used to elicit data on pragmatic production and perception, namely a web-based Cartoon Oral Production Task (COPT) and a web-based Cartoon Perception Scaled-Response Task (CPST). Subsequent sections explain how the data were collected and analysed. The chapter closes with a brief summary of the research design as a whole.
