Performance Evaluation of Electrolytic Manganese Residue-Based Grouting Materials

Electrolytic Manganese Residue (EMR) is an industrial by-product generated from manganese ore through acid leaching, neutralization, purification, and filter pressing in the wet-process production of electrolytic manganese metal. This chapter investigates the mechanism of thermal activation of EMR via high-temperature calcination using X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray fluorescence (XRF), and thermogravimetric (TG) analyses. The optimal calcination temperature for activating EMR is determined through compressive strength tests.
