Integration and Utilization of Urban Memory Resources Empowered by Trusted Data Spaces in Shanghai’s Wukang Road Historic District

Contemporary urban development increasingly exhibits homogenizing tendencies, leading to the erosion of urban identity and historical distinctiveness. Traditional approaches to integrating urban memory resources have proven inefficient and inadequate in addressing the evolving demands of modern cities. In response, the concept of “Trusted Data Spaces” is introduced as an analytical framework, and its advantages and application pathways for the integration and utilization of urban memory resources are systematically examined. Taking the Wukang Road Historic District in Shanghai as a case study, this paper proposes a digital integration framework based on Trusted Data Spaces. Through mechanisms of data sharing and value co-creation, historical and cultural resources can be effectively preserved, thereby promoting innovation in the cultural tourism sector. The findings provide practical guidance and theoretical support for the preservation and revitalization of historic districts.
