摘要

To further demonstrate the potential of corpus-based language pedagogy (CBLP) in real classroom contexts, this chapter presents eight award-winning lesson designs that exemplify high-quality teaching cases across primary, secondary, and tertiary educational levels. These lesson designs, obtained with the original authors’ consent, will cover four essential language skills: vocabulary, grammar, reading and writing, and speaking. Each lesson design begins with some general background information, including the lesson focus, target students, and level of difficulty, etc. It then presents the design rationale suggested by the original authors, detailing the lesson structure, teaching activities involving hands-on or hands-off corpus searches, and answer keys. The chapter seeks to demonstrate how the corpus tools and techniques we have demonstrated in previous chapters can genuinely be applied in real classroom teaching contexts. Certain lesson designs conclude with reflections by frontline teachers who have successfully implemented them in real classrooms. These reflections offer a candid look at the successes and challenges encountered, providing readers with practical advice, tips, and inspiration for their own teaching practices. Combined with theoretical insights in previous chapters, the practical applications demonstrated in this chapter serve as a comprehensive guide for pre- and in-service teachers seeking to enhance their language teaching through CBLP.
