Japanese Classification and UICC/TNM Classification

In the latest 12th edition, the Japanese classification for esophageal cancer has become more closely aligned with the TNM classification compared to the 11th edition. Nevertheless, notable differences persist. This chapter provides a detailed discussion of these discrepancies as well as future perspectives.
