Chinese Experiences
摘要
Esophageal cancer, ranking seventh in the incidence and fifth in mortality of all cancers, with 224,000 new cases and 187,500 deaths, is a severe disease in China. Over the last 10 years in China, the treatment of esophageal cancer has evolved into a multidisciplinary process, and surgeons, medical oncologists, and radiation oncologists are essential for treatment to be successful. In this chapter, we introduced the current situation of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma treatment in China, mainly focusing on topics such as endoscopic treatment, surgical approach, neoadjuvant therapy, and immunotherapy.
