Finite Element Analysis of the Strength of Connecting Bolts in a Horizontal Reactor

  • Weiwei Zhang

摘要

A reactor is one of the equipment used in chemical and physical reactions of materials, and is a pressure vessel used in the chemical industry to complete processes such as mixing and reacting substances. Using 3D modeling software UG for geometric modeling, the strength of the connecting bolts of the horizontal reaction kettle was analyzed using finite element software. Nonlinear calculation methods were used to analyze the strength of the connecting bolts, and the calculation results of the two bolt hole diameters were compared and analyzed without changing the bolt specifications. Reducing the diameter of the bolt hole results in a more uniform load between the bolt and nut, and the bolt and nut meet the strength requirements.
