Design, Simulation, and Performance Analysis of a Multi-Mechanism Express Box Processing System

  • Rui Zheng

摘要

The random direction of express boxes after manual handling is a major bottleneck in logistics sorting, resulting in low efficiency and high labor costs. To address this challenge, this article proposes a design of an automated mechanical system that integrates six steps: calibration, conveyor, labeling, 90° flipping, detection, and palletizing. The system aims to automatically unify the orientation of unordered boxes, accurately label them, flip them to present the label surface, and finally sort them by destination. The core innovation lies in the collaborative operation of these mechanisms, especially the new 90° flipping mechanism driven by gear and arc-shaped rack components, which ensures precise label positioning that meets logistics standards. Finite element analysis (FEA) verified the structural strength and reliability of key components. This design demonstrates that through multi mechanism collaboration, the system can significantly improve processing efficiency, reduce reliance on manual labor, and provide a robust and practical solution for the upgrade of logistics automation.
