Study of Solar Panel Performance During Cooling

The article is devoted to the issue of increasing the efficiency of solar panels, in particular, methods for improving the energy performance of their operation by cooling them. In order to minimize the negative impact on the environment of the technologies and materials used in the production of solar panels, it is necessary to increase their energy efficiency. The results of experimental studies of cooling a solar panel with fans from the back of the solar panel under various operating conditions are presented. The data on measuring the performance of a solar panel when moistening its back side with water from nozzles are presented. A criterion for the rational use of various methods of cooling the solar panel has been developed, taking into account the costs of the cooling process. The studies were carried out on specialized equipment in the form of research stands. A description of these stands and the methods of their use in experimental studies is given. The operating principle of the cooling system is described, the accents of the features of the decrease in the productivity of solar panels with an increase in temperature above the nominal value are shown. The expediency of cooling the panel with different air flows from fans, depending on the thermal load, is substantiated. A comparative assessment of air and evaporative cooling was carried out.
