Evaluating Generative AI Tools for Animation Production
摘要
The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming traditional animation creation processes. This study, from a user experience perspective, examines the effectiveness and value of AI-generated content (AIGC) tools in script, image, video, and music generation for animation creation. Through questionnaires and interviews, we collected user experience data from 10 animators using AIGC. The study found that Gemini 2.0 performed best in script generation; Midjourney was convenient for image generation, but exhibited a high dependence on prompts; Kuaishou Kelin demonstrated significant advantages in user experience for video generation; and Suno performed well in music generation. While AIGC tools can improve creative efficiency, expand creative possibilities, and lower the barriers to entry, they also have limitations, such as difficulties in ensuring character consistency, potential creative homogenization, and potential ethical issues. This study aims to provide theoretical and practical guidance for optimizing animation creation processes in the era of generative AI, promoting the continuous improvement and development of AIGC technology in the animation field, and driving the intelligentization of animation creation.
