Development Research of Mobile Teaching System for Engineering Graphics Based on VR/AR

Virtual Reality technology and Augmented reality technology gradually from the concept to the emerging technology, widely used in education, entertainment, medical and other fields. As an important basic course for engineering students, engineering graphics is both theoretical and practical. This paper proposes a teaching system combining VR/AR technology with engineering graphics teaching. Unity 3D is used as the VR function development platform and Vuforia is used as the AR function development platform to realize the AR recognition function. The interactive operation is enriched by constructing and optimizing the model, and adding the functions of scene roaming, fast search and free model observation. In addition, RawImage component is used to realize example explanation and model interaction to complete knowledge understanding and transfer. Based on VR/AR technology, this paper studies the mobile teaching system of engineering graphics, and finally completes the development of the system. The teaching system mainly includes three core modules: AR recognition, model library and autonomous learning, which inject new vitality into the teaching of engineering graphics. The system has a high degree of immersion, interaction and mobility, which makes up for the shortcomings of traditional learning methods and achieves the purpose of assisting teaching.
