Research on Color Management of Digital Inkjet Printing Based on Polyester Fabrics
摘要
With the wide application of digital inkjet printing technology in the textile industry, polyester fabric has become one of the main printing materials due to its excellent physical and chemical properties. However, due to the hydrophobicity of polyester fibers and poor dye penetration, problems such as color deviation are prone to occur during the printing process. Based on the screen display color evaluation, this study proposed the “screen-fabric” and “screen-paper card-fabric” of color management schemes for polyester inkjet printing. The results showed that the average brighness difference percentage of the display was 2 and 3% while adopting white and gray, respectively. Meanwhile, the maximum brighness difference was 7%, which was lower than 10%. It indicated that the display luminance was uniform. The “screen-paper card-fabric” color management scheme could basically replace the “screen-fabric” color management scheme. With the “screen-fabric” color matching method, the color difference of most color blocks was between 6 and 8. It indicated that most colors were well replicated. With the “screen-paper card-fabric” color matching method, the color difference was less than 4.5. It indicated that the color replication effect of “screen-paper card-fabric” was more ideal. This study provides a quantifiable color management scheme for the industrial production of digital inkjet printing on polyester fabric.
