Pedagogical Practices of Popular Environmental Education in Family Farming
摘要
Climate Change can have negative consequences on food production. In this perspective, the goal of this study is to propose pedagogical practices in which Popular Environmental Education is inserted, directed to the agents of the land to face the climate crisis. Through documentary research via the Internet and narrative research by listening to family farmers in the Western Region of Paraná (Brazil) and Galicia (Spain), it was possible to relate demands and challenges pointed out by them and by the literature, and to present proposals that should be considered to improve the quality of life in the productive units. The proposals include the promotion of integration between the environment and society, through collective, participatory and contextualized practices with the lived realities, favouring the perception of belonging of the subjects and the place where they live. Ideas that seek to rescue values for the understanding that we are part of Nature, and as interdependent beings inhabiting the planet, we urgently need the contribution of everyone, so that the quality of life is privileged, social inequalities are reduced, and climate justice is achieved.
