Environmental Education in and for Degrowth in the Face of Climate Change: Food and Its Socio-Environmental Impact
摘要
Climate change can be addressed from many perspectives and in turn focusing on different areas because it is a very complex socio-environmental issue. Many of the current educational proposals take sustainability as a theoretical reference, assuming that we still have time for an adjusted growth to the carrying capacity of the planet. In this paper we present the degrowth perspective based on the empirical fact that it is impossible to maintain economic growth and act in the face of climate change. In order to make this proposal concrete, we have chosen the topic of food and its socio-environmental impact, showing some results in the field of initial teacher training for Early Childhood and Primary Education teachers.
