The Signal Processing Method for Non-Contact Speed Measurement, Location and Direction Recognition Based on Rail Vehicles

In the process of speed measurement, location, and direction recognition of rail vehicles, the use of the laser ranging sensors can cause oscillations in the measurement values. In response to this situation, this article proposes an adaptive filtering method by combining simulation data with the method of combining large and small periods and the recursive median filtering method. The results show that this signal processing method can effectively reflect the operating status of the vehicle, the error percentage of speed measurement and location within 3% is over 95%.
