Analysis and Detection Methods for the Wear of Carbon Sliding Plates of Pantographs in Rail Transit

The surface of the carbon slide plate is arc-shaped, and the plane is not flat. It is quite difficult to conduct a comprehensive and precise measurement of all its points. This paper studies the wear mechanism of the carbon slide plate surface and proposes an automatic detection method for the carbon slide plate surface by scanning it with a line laser sensor. The experimental results show that this method can accurately measure the wear thickness of the carbon slide plate.
