Banking for Resilient and Sustainable Growth in Asia and the Pacific
摘要
This chapter discusses a forward-looking roadmap for resilient banking systems in the Asia-Pacific. It examines key emerging challenges: macroeconomic volatility, digital disruption, the gap between financial access and usage, climate sustainability pressures, and regulatory complexity. To address these vulnerabilities, the chapter recommends strategic imperatives, including strengthening macroprudential frameworks, building interoperable digital public infrastructure, closing the financial access-usage gap, and integrating climate risks into prudential oversight. It concludes by suggesting that coordinated action among regulators, governments, financial institutions, and development partners is required to develop an innovation-enabled banking system capable of driving long-term regional prosperity.
