Preparation of Thermosets

Thermosets are the polymeric structure which are three dimensional in nature. These structures are rigid in nature and cannot be reshaped by any means like application of heat. Among various thermosets, phenol formaldehyde resin, urea formaldehyde resin, and melamine formaldehyde resin are important. These resins are prepared by condensation method in multiple stages. In this chapter the preparation methods for all these resins are discussed and described.
