Research and Application of Well Control Prevention Supporting Tools for Wireline Logging Operations

摘要

As the proportion of high-pressure oil and gas wells gradually increases, the requirements for well control tools keep rising, and on-site overflow safety control becomes increasingly strict. In response to the problem that logging operations cannot be quickly shut down without cutting cables, a set of well control preventive tools for logging cable operations is designed in this paper. The tool suspension system adopts a conical clamp structure, which enables rapid cable clamping and suspension by injecting hydraulic oil to trigger the radial contraction of the clamp; The internal sealing system uses a double-channel grease injection sealing structure, injecting thin grease into the cable armor gap and thick grease into the annular space with the drill pipe respectively to achieve rapid sealing of the internal annular space of the tool, effectively reducing the well closure time in case of overflow during on-site operations. The sealing pressure of the tool reached 70 MPa, and the total time for logging operation overflow shut-off was 45 s, which effectively improved the safety of the field operation. The development of this device provides strong support for solving the well control safety problem of logging rope operations and significantly improves the safety of downhole rope operations.
